Automatic purchase order number requests

The system asks the customer for the details needed to invoice, without anyone having to remember.

The problem

Many customers require a purchase order number or prior authorisation before they can be invoiced. Asking for it customer by customer, by hand, causes invoicing delays, oversights and friction with customers, and in the worst cases work that is done but never paid for.

How we solved it

At the right point in the process (when a job is closed, when the delivery note is signed, and so on), the system automatically asks the customer for the purchase order number. If there is no reply, it sends a reminder and escalates to the account manager. When the number arrives, it is linked to the invoice automatically.
